The Beginning

It Started with a Problem

Founder story

Look, I'm gonna be straight with you. Back in 2019, I was working 60-hour weeks in corporate finance and gaining weight like it was my job. Every gym I tried had the same issue - classes that ate up 90 minutes of my day when I barely had 30 to spare.

After my dad's heart attack that year, something clicked. I couldn't keep ignoring my health, but I also couldn't magically create more hours in the day. So I got certified, dove deep into HIIT science, and started experimenting with time-compressed training protocols that actually worked.

The results? I dropped 40 pounds in six months, working out just 30 minutes a day. My friends noticed. Their friends noticed. Before I knew it, I was training people out of my garage at 5am before my day job.

The Philosophy

We're not here to waste your time with filler exercises or outdated bodybuilding splits. Every second in our facility is engineered for maximum metabolic impact.

What Makes Us Different

I've seen too many gyms pack their schedules with 45-minute "HIIT" classes that're mostly rest periods and socializing. Don't get me wrong - community's great, but not when you've got meetings at 9am.

Our approach strips away the fluff. Thirty minutes. High intensity. Strategic rest. Every workout's designed by someone who actually understands both exercise science and the reality of modern life in Vancouver.

We track everything - heart rate zones, power output, recovery metrics. This isn't guesswork. It's precision training for people who value their time as much as their health.

Our Evolution

March 2019

The Garage Days

Started training 5 clients at 5am before my real job. Word spread fast - turns out lots of people need efficient workouts.

November 2020

First Real Location

Quit corporate and opened a 1,200 sq ft space in Gastown. Had 30 members and zero clue about running a business. Learned fast.

June 2022

Doubled Down

Waitlist hit 80 people. Moved to our current 3,500 sq ft facility on Burrard. Added body composition analysis and nutrition coaching.

February 2024

Team Expansion

Brought on three specialized coaches. Each one's been through our training system themselves - we don't hire people who just read textbooks.

November 2025

Right Now

Over 200 active members. Average session attendance: 30 minutes. Average results: life-changing. We're just getting started.

Respect the Clock

You've got 30 minutes. We're not gonna waste 10 of them warming up on a treadmill. Dynamic warmups blend seamlessly into your workout. Every transition's planned. No dead time, no filler.

Progressive Intensity

We track your performance every session. When you're ready for more, the program adapts. When you need recovery, we dial it back. This isn't random - it's periodized training without the complexity.

Heart Rate Zones Matter

Real HIIT means hitting 85-95% of your max heart rate, then recovering strategically. We monitor this live. If you're coasting, we'll know. If you're overdoing it, we'll pull you back.

Metabolic Afterburn

The magic happens after you leave. EPOC - excess post-exercise oxygen consumption - keeps your metabolism elevated for hours. Our workouts're designed to maximize this effect.

We're not here to yell motivational quotes at you or post transformation photos on Instagram. Our coaches're certified professionals who understand biomechanics, energy systems, and how to push you without breaking you.

Every coach's been through our program themselves. They know what it feels like to squeeze a workout into a crazy schedule. They've hit the same walls you'll hit.

Technique comes first, always. Bad form under fatigue is how people get hurt. We'll correct your squat depth even if it means less reps. Your joints'll thank us in 20 years.

Nutrition That's Actually Doable

You can't out-train a bad diet. We've all tried. Our nutrition coaching isn't about weighing chicken breast on a food scale or eating six meals a day.

It's about making sustainable choices that fit your lifestyle. Yeah, we'll dial in your macros if you want, but we're more focused on teaching you how to make good decisions when you're stressed, tired, or traveling.

No meal plans that require three hours of Sunday prep. No cutting out entire food groups. Just practical strategies that work in the real world.
